Richard and Natasha chose a rustic elegant wedding theme for their reception at Jonkershuis Constantia and Quirky Parties had the privilege of being part of their wedding. We supplied and set up the decor for this fabulous event. The wedding took place in the middle of winter so we were at the mercy of the wind and rain. This did not deter us and we went about setting up the main part of the reception which was held beneath the outdoor canopy. We had candles in hessian and lace wrapped jars suspended from the ceiling which added a warm ambiance. Lightweight blankets were provided for the guests to keep warm and the venue put up huge heaters along the perimeter. Indoors, we created a chill room which was mostly for the children. our lemonade stand was turned into a help yourself ‘hot chocolate bar’ which was a big hit with young and old alike. The chill room also had games and a candy buffet.
Our photo booth and props set up in an adjoining room provided endless entertainment for those who love to play “dress up”
The rustic elegant wedding theme meant lots of hessian details included in the decor. We took an old frame and made rosettes from old book pages and hessian and this displayed the couple’s names. Jars and vintage books were also wrapped with lace and hessian. Our vintage typewriter was displayed for added detail.
We were honoured to have Natasha and Richards rustic elegant wedding featured in the Wedding Inspirations Magazine
